My Jesuit Prayer Reflections

God-in-my-backyard

Finding God in my backyard

This summer I was blessed to be invited to be one of the featured writers on Jesuitprayer.org, which has been a favorite prayer app for a long time. I really enjoy the different Ignatian voices that are featured each day, and I begin my day with this app.

You can either download the app, or you can have the reflections emailed to you.

Here are links to the five reflections and prayers I wrote based on one of the Scripture passages for that day.

What did I learn from this experience? That spending a lot of time thinking about God’s Word is time well spent.  That I can truly find in God in all things. And most importantly, the Holy Spirit always helps if I remember to ask.

Writing lessons I learned: that saying something meaningful is really hard to do in 150 words. And something that I’m pretty sure other writers experience at one point or another is that sometimes you just have to stop obsessing over what you’ve written and hit SEND.
